Filter, search, and switch between projects with ease

Overview

Project selection tools help users quickly find and switch between active, archived, or assigned projects—saving time and reducing errors. Whether you're managing multiple projects or need to access a specific report, these tools provide streamlined navigation.

Searching for a Project

If you're looking for a specific project:

  • Use the Search Bar to enter the project name, number, or keyword.

  • Results will update in real time based on your input.

  • You can also search using filters like client name or location (if available).

Tip: Use exact keywords for quicker results (e.g., “2024-Road Rehab” instead of just “Road”).

Filtering Project Lists

To narrow down the list of visible projects:

        1. Select an Account from the drop-down (if applicable)

        2. Click the Project Group(s)

        3. Search Field at the top of the screen.

Note: Most users will not need to select an Account.

Switching Between Projects

When working on multiple projects:

  • Click on the “Change Project” button.

  • Go back to the “Projects - Builterra” browser tab, and select another project.

Best Practices

  • Click on the 'Default' button after setting your filters if you want the page to always use those filters.

  • Favourite frequently used projects, by clicking on the star icon next to it and within the project.

  • Clear filters if you're not seeing a project you expect—it may be hidden.

  • Stay organized by archiving completed projects to declutter the list.

FAQs

Why can't I find my project?
It may be archived or not assigned to you. Check your filters or contact your internal Builterra admin.

Can I search across all projects, even unassigned ones?
This depends on your permission level. Admins typically have global search access.

How do I get back to a recently used project?
The best way to do this is to “favourite” the project(s) you are accessing the most.
