How to upload a bid onto Builterra

    1. The first step is to click the 'Invitation' link found within the invitation e-mail that you open to get linked to this article.

    2. After clicking on the 'Invitation' link, you will be brought to a Builterra page in your browser. Click the 'Download Tender Package' button to download the tender package.

Note: If you experience any problems, try using Google Chrome or Windows Edge as your browser to download and upload your bid in Builterra. Both of these browsers are support byBuilterra, which should reduce any interfact issues, or buttons not working as they should.

    3. Open the downloaded tender .zip file and click on the 'Accept Bid' button.

Note: If you do not see the 'Accept Bid' button right after downloading the .zip file, then refresh your browser page or press the 'F5' button on your keyboard.

    4. Click the 'OK' button to finalize the acceptance of the bid.

    5. The .zip file that you downloaded earlier can be found in your computers 'Download' folder.

    6. Open that .zip file and open the excel file within the .zip file.

Note: The interface of the .zip file may look different for you than the image above.

    7. Click the 'Enable Editing' button and click on the worksheets with the tender items.

    8. Within the yellow fields, input the unit price for each item and save the excel file.

Note: It is recomended to save the file outside of the .zip file and into your downloads folder, or any file managment software that you keep your sensitive files in. Saving the file outside the zipped file will help with uploading the excel file in the next step.

9. If you have any questions about the tender, click on the 'Ask Question' button. If you don't have any questions, skip to step #11.

10. Write your question in the blank text box field, and click the 'Submit' button to send your question to the Tender Manager on Builterra.

Note: As indicated on the screen, the questions cannot be editied once submitted.

To upload any updated tender forms, click the 'Update Tender Form' button and select the document you wish to upload.

Note: Bidders can use the "Update Tender Form" option or "Submit Tender Form" button in any order they wish.

Updating the "Tender Form" cost spreadsheet document will override the originally submitted tender form document with the new "Updated" document(s).

12. Create a zip file to submit any PDF supporting documents for the tender (sketches, drawings, etc.)

      a) Select all of your PDF documents (having them in the same folder can help)

      b) Right-click on one of the selected documents

      c) Hover your mouse over "Send to" option, then left-click the "Compressed (zipped) folder" button

      d) Click the "Submit Supporting Documents" button and find the zipped folder file that you just created.

Reminder: Supporting documents must be uploaded within a .zip file!

   13. Note that the 'Current Status' will confirm if the Pricing and Supporting Documents were submitted/updated properly.

Note: In this case, I have not submitted the pricing and any supporting documents, as the
'Current Status' states.

14. Once you have submitted the tender/bid and any supporting documents, you will receive a confirmation e-mail.
